About the Club
Stockholm International Toastmasters is a not-for-profit educational club where members help each other improve their public speaking and leadership skills. The club is a member of the world-wide organization Toastmasters International. Read more about what Toastmasters can do for you.
Members
The club has over 30 members of different gender, age, and educational, professional and national backgrounds. Some members are expatriates or guest-workers from around the world, others are native Swedes. But you don't have to be a native English speaker to enjoy the club!
History of Stockholm International Toastmasters
| 1999 | Stockholm Park Toastmasters holds the first meeting and charters as club number 5320, thanks to Agneta Loge André and Pelle Holmberg, with help from Elizabeth Nostedt, the Area Governor of clubs in Scandinavia at the time. |
| 2001 | The club reaches 20 members. |
| 2005 | The club receives the Distinguished Club award. |
| 2006 | Stockholm Park Toastmasters changes name to Stockholm International Toastmasters to reflect that members and guests come from all over the world. |
| 2009 | The club receives the President's Distinguished Club award. With over 30 members, the club is more active than ever. |
