We are quickly approaching the summer and the transition into the new 2011/12 Toastmaster year after the summer break and with it, new rounds of club meetings and other activities. Some of you club officers will remain on the board whereas others will hand-over to new officers.
To give you the right skills, inspiration and to kick off the new TM year, a Club Officer Training will be arranged in Gothenburg on Saturday 18th June (starting with registration 9:30, meeting at 10:00 and ending about 15:00).
Theme for the training is “The Challenge of Leadership” and the aim is to make the meeting appeal to both new and more senior officers, covering:
– The club officer roles
– Leadership and inspiration
– Planning with club objectives (distinguished club program)
– Time in smaller groups for sharing knowledge and practice with your peers in other clubs
Full agenda, venue, registration information, lunch and other details will be sent out later on. A fee on a self-cost basis will be raised to cover costs for lunch etc.
We recommend that you make use of this training to be best prepared for the coming Toastmaster year, be inspired and share your ideas across the Toastmaster community!
IMPORTANT Please send this information on to prospective new club officers – getting trained before the summer break is the best way to be in shape and help plan the autumn’s club meetings.
(Please also send me names of new club officers, as soon as they are likely or elected. When elected, do not forgot to update the officer list in EasySpeak and on the Toastmasters International website: it is now possible to register the names of the new board on the Toastmasters International website; as well as within EasySpeak; just make sure you select the upcoming 2011-2012 period!)
If you already now can tell whether you can attend or not at the 18th June Officer Training, please update the Event in EasySpeak, following this link and you should find your name in the attendance list, providing you are an existing officer. New officers and other guests, who are also welcome, can just send a mail to me with the name)
